About Kids Phonics

Kids Phonics was established to impart English reading in kids. Kids Phonics stands unique that teaches children between 4-12 years using Jolly Phonics Program (UK) and it is the effective teaching methodology followed worldwide. By teaching the letter sounds in a way that is fun and multi-sensory enabling children to read easily. Kids Phonics has perfect ambiance for fun filled and activity based learning which improves reading skill, pronunciation, vocabulary and word recognition. Kids Phonics helps in enhancing the language skills of children. We make the class interactive and thus interesting.

Kids Phonics has a huge collection of international colourful books to nurture the love of reading. Story reading helps children with their confidence levels, coping with feelings, language and learning. We often give story books to our kids to read. Stories are a great way to introduce new words and ideas into a child’s language-starting with picture books for young readers. This is important for child’s developing social and communication skills.

Children are given a great deal of confidence by providing individual attention through small batches which enables them to become fluent readers. The class room has children friendly atmosphere and safe environment. The center has already created a number of talented kids and satisfied parents since its beginning.

Kids Phonics has been awarded as the Best Phonics Program in Chennai by Global Triumph Foundation on January 19th 2019 in Top 50 Emerging Icons 2019 Summit held at Bangalore.

Our mission

Our mission is to improve literacy through fun filled activity based jolly phonics program. We believe in making learners independent in their reading and writing with their own creativity. We promise to build successful and enthusiastic foundation for literacy knowledge.

About the Founder

Aparna Jayaraman has a Master in Economics and her passion for teaching made her learn Jolly Phonics. She has taught over a hundred children annually in Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar. As a phonic teacher, she has seen that children love Jolly Phonics and it not only gives them literacy skills but also improves their pronunciation as well as their confidence in all areas of English. In her past years of using the Phonics program, she has seen outstanding results in many children to achieve similar success.

Aparna Jayaraman has completed the Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar Teacher Training Course from CPD College, Ireland. She is also trained with the authors of Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar - Ms. Sue Lloyd and Ms. Sara Werhnam in Jolly Revolution Online Programme. She has also completed the Creative Writing Programme and Handwriting Improvement Programme. She has attended many workshops for Jolly Phonics, Jolly Grammar, and Jolly English Programmes with various trainers across India. She also completed a Diploma in School, Corporate and Family Counselling in Chennai Counseling Services.

Aparna Jayaraman currently runs her own phonic center Kids Phonics to teach Jolly Phonics, Jolly Grammar, Handwriting Improvement classes, Spoken English, Spelling Rules, Creative writing, and Life Skills in Ambattur, Chennai. She is also running a Play School in the name of Jolly Juniors Play School where she introduces Jolly English. As charitable measures, underprivileged children are taught free of cost. She has enabled kids to grow up into great readers and writers through the multi-sensory methodology of Jolly Phonics. Kids with a strong foundation in reading and spelling skills eventually develop impressive creative writing and communication skills.
